Here we discuss some of the main difference to choose a dog or a cat.

The advantages of buying a cat

Buying a cat is having a ball of hair in your house all day long. The advantage is that it does not take up too much space: a corner of the sofa, a piece of carpet and sometimes a bed where he can take his nap. The cat is much more independent than a dog, he just needs to have his bowls filled with kibble and water and he will come and help himself throughout the day. A cat is also less noisy and it easily adapts to accommodation in an apartment or house. You just need to put a cat flap on your door and it will go out on its own. A cat is a ball of love that runs throughout your house. He enjoys cuddling and his purring has the effect of relieving the stress of his master. When traveling, your cat is easy to carry for a long or short journey.

The benefits of buying a dog

A dog, as it is often said, is man’s most loyal companion. He loves to play with children and he is very affectionate, just like the cat. In addition to being a gentle animal, he can act as a guardian depending on the breed. During the holidays, your dog can accompany you on your walks and hikes, taking the necessary precautions of course (leash …) while a cat will have to stay at home, or be looked after by friends or a shelter.

Buying a cat or a dog

In the end, the choice depends on each person who wishes to buy, on their lifestyle and home. It is according to your daily habits, if you have a little more time to devote, the dog is suitable otherwise it will be a cat, which is more independent.

AnimalsSale.com welcomes both exotic breed animals and common breed animals. So you have the opportunity, if it is a dog or a cat, to choose from a wide variety of breeds. In addition, there are animals of all ages in the pet store, both small and large. The owner therefore has the possibility, according to his preferences, of opting for a puppy or a kitten, or for an older animal.

In the particular case of cats, they are very often taken care of upon arrival and receive all the medical care required. You can therefore be reassured about the health of the animals offered for sale.

Ducks Everything You Should Know

In this article we’ll talk about ducks. You can learn about more in duckswiki

Duck is the usual name for much species of waterfowl in the Anatidae. They are mainly aquatic birds and are not considered monophyletic groups. All ducks belong to the Anseriformes order, which also includes the geese and swans. They are also split into various subfamilies and tribes. The number of subfamilies and tribes is the subject of disagreement among taxonomists.Their bodies are generally long and broad, and they have a slightly long neck. They have a broad bill and are usually long and serrated. Their scaled legs are well developed and tend to set back on the body. Their wings are very strong and they can easily fly. There are about 130 species of ducklings that live in every continent except Antarctica. They can be found on almost all of the continent’s landmasses. Some of them are endemic to the Galpagos Islands. These animals are known to eat various food sources such as aquatic plants, fish, and invertebrates. They also feed on land or on the surface of water. Their beak has a comb-like structure known as a pecten. These animals are heavier than dabbling ducks and can’t fly easily underwater. They feed on algae, small invertebrates, and fish. Some of the more specialized diving ducks have adapted their beaks to perform specific tasks. There are pairs of duck species that have a pair-bond that lasts for several years. Most of the time, they will raise a pair once a year. They do so in favourable conditions, and once a year, they tend to build nests and raise their young.

What do ducks eat?

The normal eating routine of ducks and other waterfowl is oceanic vegetation, for example, lake weed, alongside seeds, creepy crawlies, worms, little water snails and creatures of land and water, and even shellfish like crawfish. You may see ducks, swans and different birds dodging down into the water and taking care of from the base – this is their regular method of taking care of, and the assortment of food they eat gives them a fair sustenance that keeps them solid.

Can ducks fly?

Numerous types of ducks are superb flyers, especially while relocating. While all ducks can fly, certain species can’t or decide not to. Variables that have an impact in their powerlessness to lift off incorporate their size, weight, wing construction, condition, and climate. But some ducks can’t fly like pekin ducks.

Ducks, as a rule, have bended pointed wings, for certain species having generally little wings contrasted with their body size. Ducks can travel significant distances, specifically, during relocation. To keep their bodies airborne, they need to fold persistently paying little mind to their wing size.

Most of transitory ducks have amazing wing muscles. Coupled along with their long essential flight feathers (giving push while fluttering) and more limited optional flight feathers (giving lift when floating), all guide for powerful trip alongside the bird’s wing coverts. The coverts are milder than the flight feathers and make a solid, smooth surface to take into account ideal wind stream while the tail feathers go about as a rudder assisting with controlling and settle flight.

How to get a cat and a dog to meet in 7 steps

Published

on

Cats and dogs seem to be natural enemies and can sometimes fight like … well, like proverbial cats and dogs. They do not understand each other’s body language correctly, which can lead to communication problems and, consequently, to fights and even assaults. Nonetheless, well-socialized cats and dogs can live together in harmony and even become good friends. Do you want to bring a dog home with a resident cat or vice versa? Or are you a pet sitter and want to be able to accommodate other animals besides your cat or dog? For this to work, you need to know how to safely meet your furry companions.

The preparation

Before introducing a kitten to a dog, make sure your dog is calm and tired, take him out for a long walk and let him play a lot. This will be enough to satisfy his hunting instinct and will generally tire him, putting him in a relaxed state of mind for the new acquaintance. Make sure the cat is equally relaxed and peaceful. Let them meet in the cat’s house if possible: cats typically find new environments very stressful and the idea instead is to make them feel comfortable and relaxed. Remember that the house is the private domain of the cat.  It prevents the dog from accessing the private realm of the feline, thus guaranteeing an oasis of peace and privacy.

The first hint of friendship

Letting each other smell is an excellent and discreet way to get your cat and dog to get used to each other’s presence. Don’t introduce pets at this point just yet, but rather pat them one at a time and subsequently allow them to smell each other’s smell through your hands. This will be their first meeting.

Once both animals are in the same house, keep them in different rooms so that they are not yet able to see each other, but can explore the space. If that’s okay, try swapping their rooms to allow them to smell each other’s smell. If this step also flows smoothly, reward your pets with their favorite snack so that they associate the new smell with something positive.

The presentation

Do they both seem calm and curious? Here is the time to introduce them to each other. The safest method is to place your cat in a crate or carrier and place it in a high spot, out of the dog’s reach. Make sure your cat is familiar with the crate and feels comfortable being inside it. Keep the dog on a leash and allow them to observe each other from a distance. If all goes well, give them both a tasty treat as a reward. You will now be ready for the next step:

Body language

Keep an eye on the body language of both animals, as it will reveal any signs of irritability or aggression. If the cat’s ears are pinned back and the tail is waving vigorously, then this is clearly a bad sign. If the dog visibly stiffens, points his ears up and fixes his gaze on the cat, he will undoubtedly be in “hunting” mode. If he licks his face or yawns, he is likely to feel stressed and uncomfortable.

As soon as an animal shows signs of exasperation, grab its attention with a treat or toy and take it to another room.  Try the intro again later.

Patience and supervision

Start the mutual introduction slowly, letting them meet for a few minutes at a time and repeating the process every day. If, after a few days, everything seems to be going well, you can let the animals get to know each other better. Some cats and dogs never become friends, others simply take longer (weeks, sometimes months) to learn to tolerate each other. Allow them to take their time and, in the meantime, allow them to be together under your supervision, for a few minutes each day, before separating them again. If things don’t improve after a few weeks and the relationship remains contemptuous or aggressive, then break off contact. Give the animals a break or consider support from a behavioral therapist.

Puppies

The advantage of bringing puppies together is that small animals have no experience with other species yet. Kittens, in particular, tend to be extremely curious and (still) fearless of dogs. And many adult dogs are instinctively friendly towards them. However, the potential danger of introducing puppies into the home is that they can be slightly cheeky.  Kittens often don’t realize when a dog wants to chase them and ignore all warning signs and kittens in general tend to engage in rambunctious play and can easily get an unexpected scratch from an adult cat who just wants to quench their enthusiasm. For these reasons, always make sure you are super alert when introducing kittens and puppies.

Pet sitter

Are you a dog or cat sitter and want to introduce a new cat or dog to your resident pet? Only do this if your pet is used to other cats or dogs and always consult the owner on this issue beforehand.

The basic rules in general:

  • Preventing “hunting” behavior
  • Reward calm and friendly conduct
  • Don’t force animals to do something they don’t want
  • Avoid stress and irritation: distract your four-legged friends
  • Let the cat determine its own escape route
  • Never allow the dog to go near the cat litter box

A dog life jacket: is it really necessary?

Published

on

Most dogs swim perfectly well, so what’s a dog life jacket for? No doubt you are a very good swimmer yourself, otherwise you would not be spending time on a paddle board or a boat. That said, if anything did happen, you might have to swim a long distance, or even swim while injured.

It would be just as tiring for the dogs as it would be for you. You might also be wearing “a life jacket for your safety” or at least a Restube , so why not protect your dog with a life jacket to make sure he stays on the surface without getting tired? The chances that a dog can swim enough to get out of harm’s way are as high as yours, so they deserve the same treatment.

You can find the best kuoser dog life jackets which are durable, light, and comfortable dog life jackets, PFD for dogs, and dog life vests. The ultimate life jacket for dogs, designed for those who like to gather with humans in the lake, river, or backyard swimming pool. They choose the best here at kuoser.

In fact, all dogs that spend time on the water should wear a life jacket, but for some it is even more important, especially those with low body fat (less buoyancy), senior dogs and dogs with known health problems.

Dog life jacket: when to use it?

As mentioned, use a dog life jacket whenever your dog accompanies you on the water. Like people, dogs can get tired and sink. You have even read that around 5,000 pets sink into swimming pools every year, it’s sad to hear, right?

So if that can happen in swimming pools, you need to make sure your best friend is as safe as possible on large areas of water and wild waters. When you go out, most dogs only want one thing: to stay by your side as much as possible. So, whatever the cost, it is your responsibility to protect it under all circumstances.

A dog life jacket can also be used as a cat boat

Whether you are going out for paddle boarding, kayaking, surfing, boating, or any other water activity, make sure your dog is wearing a life jacket to prevent them from exhausting themselves swimming.

The dog life jacket is also the perfect accessory to get your dog used to water the first time. Not all breeds are equally drawn to water or necessarily enjoy swimming, especially if you don’t live near water.

The extra buoyancy that the vest gives them gives them a sense of security. Dog life jackets are also often equipped with a handy handle on the back so that you can easily lift the dog out of the water in the event of a problem.

The buoyancy of a dog life jacket

The most important aspect of a life jacket is of course its buoyancy so that your dog does not sink with it. The best life jackets are equipped with a floating layer under the belly but also above and on the sides. Preferably, also opt for a floating section at the neck to keep the dog’s head above the water.

Dog life jacket color

A bright color makes it easier to find your dog and also makes it more visible to boats or other water sports fans. The reflective materials to increase visibility are a plus.

Dimensions and fit of the dog life jacket

Of course, your dog’s life jacket needs to be the right size and fit for his body. They come in all sizes, check the size chart and measure your dog’s length and width. The life jacket should be comfortable and not hinder the dog when he sits or lies down.

The vest should be large enough that it is not too tight, but not too loose that the dog will slip through your fingers if you try to lift it by the handle. However, it can still happen to you if your dog is giant.
